Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported by the majority of votes the draft resolution of the head of “Solidarity of Right Forces” Andrey Artemenko:

“About modifications to the administrative-territorial structure of Lugansk region, change and establishment of boundaries of Popasniansky and Slavianoserbsky areas of Lugansk region”. 268 deputies voted for this decision.

“I would like to explain the objective of this document. The 32d checkpoint of Ukrainian territorial defense was liquidated as a result of an armed attack, and the boundary line was changed in a way that the village Zholobok was returned under the control of Ukrainian authorities”,

– told parliamentarian to journalists.

Currently,  A. Artemenko said, this population area was administratively subordinated to the Frunzinsky village council of the Slavianoserbsky district of Lugansk region, and the area of the village Frunze currently was not controlled by Ukrainian authorities.

“So for today modifications and establishment of boundaries were asked by Popasniansky and  Slavianoserbsky areas of Lugansk region due to the necessity of joining the land of the village Zholobok, which is actually controlled by Ukrainian authorities, to Popasnianskiy district of Lugansk region … And now the people who have supported our army and who are  deprived of pensions and other social benefits, will  be able to receive all of the appropriate payments “,

– said the MP.
